What is the KBO League
The KBO League, run by the Korea Baseball Organization, is South Korea’s top professional baseball league. It launched in 1982 with six clubs and today features ten. The season opens in late March or early April, with each club playing a 144-game regular season. The KBO is famous for one of the most passionate fan cultures in baseball, complete with cheerleaders, team fight songs, and synchronized chants.
The top five clubs reach the postseason ("fall baseball"). It uses a stepladder format: the 4th and 5th seeds meet in a Wild Card round, the winner advances to face the 3rd seed (semi-playoff) and then the 2nd seed (playoff), and that survivor challenges the regular-season champion in the Korean Series.

Here are the ten KBO clubs and their primary home ballparks for the 2026 season. A few clubs stage some home games at secondary parks, so the actual venue is confirmed per game on the day.

How AIGround analyzes a KBO game

- Both starting pitchers: season ERA and WHIP, recent outings, and head-to-head history. KBO probable starters are announced the day before but can change, so the day-of value is double-checked.
- Lineups: the batting order (confirmed about an hour before the game), key hitters’ form, and any injuries or absences.
- Team form: last-10 record, season series, home/road splits, and bullpen fatigue.
- Venue and conditions: the actual ballpark and its park factors (e.g. Jamsil’s deep outfield), plus weather and dome status.

How to read a game page
Each game page leads with the prediction summary (winner, win probability, projected score), the key factors, and the briefing. Once the game starts, the line score, box score, and lineups update live. For MLB games, the current at-bat is tracked pitch by pitch roughly every ten seconds. A per-game chat lets you talk with other fans in real time.
